USA Basketball honors Tar Heel basketball recruit James McAdoo

James McAdoo, a 16-year-old forward at Norfolk (Va.) Christian School who has committed to play at North Carolina, was named USA Basketball's male athlete of the year yesterday. His selection by USA Basketball's board of directors makes him the youngest winner in the award's 30-year history. McAdoo, a 6-8 high-school junior, helped the United States win the gold medal in the inaugural FIBA Americas U16 championship.
