Rival fans like to make fun of Butch Davis’ mention — for all three of his seasons — of how “young” his team is, but it might come back to bite those detractors. UNC’s youth means that the likes of offensive guard Jonathan Cooper, linebacker Kevin Reddick and wide receivers Jheranie Boyd and Erik Highsmith, who all made significant plays this year, will be only sophomores next season.
