Conventional wisdom says every team has to survive an unexpected challenge somewhere on the way to a national title. The '82 team barely defeated James Madison. The '93 team needed overtime to beat Cincinnati. And the '05 squad, as Jamie said, needed clutch free throws from Melvin Scott to beat Villanova. (Tar Heel Blue)
