Tar Heels Upend Colonials 6-5 In Extra Innings

No. 11 North Carolina scored two runs in the bottom of the tenth to rally past George Washington Friday in front of 1193 fans at Boshamer Stadium. A wild pitch gave the Tar Heels their first lead of the game and the win 6-5 in extra innings. Five of the six Tar Heel runs were scored with two outs. The Tar Heels improve to 1-0 on the young season, while the Colonials fall to 0-1.
