South Carolina standout to play football for UNC


Most of ’s family members have spent their athletics careers in South Carolina but he has broken with tradition and will head north to continue his. McKie has committed to play his college football at North Carolina. He is a 6-1, 180-pound junior at Mauldin (S.C.) High School just outside of Greenville, where he plays quarterback. McKie is UNC’s seventh junior commitment for the recruiting class of 2009. (Winston-Salem Journal)
