While No. 3 North Carolina was unable to duplicate its 25-0 run against N.C. State in the rivals’ first clash this season, the Tar Heels came remarkably close, using a 31-7 spurt and another dominant Tyler Hansbrough performance to top the Wolfpack, 84-70. Hansbrough continued his stellar play in starting point guard Ty Lawson’s absence, posting game-highs in points (32), rebounds (12) and steals (5). (Inside Carolina)
