Yankees were a blast in Boshamer

On a spring day at UNC's Boshamer Stadium the Yankees piled off the bus that had brought them from Raleigh-Durham Airport, saw the field was playable despite early rains that day and somewhat reluctantly got prepared to play an exhibition game against the Tar Heels. Yankees owner George Steinbrenner, whose daughter Jenny attended UNC, brought his team to Chapel Hill for the first of three visits between 1977 and 1981.
