Recruiting war is on for South Kingstown’s Alex Murphy

Everywhere Alex Murphy plays basketball these days, The Pack follows. First it was Indianapolis for the Adidas Invitational. When the 6-foot-8 South Kingstown resident looked to his right he saw Mike Krzyzewski. When he scanned to his left, Bill Self was staring his way. A few days later, Murphy was in Springfield, Mass. Providence’s Keno Davis, Boston College’s Steve Donahue and many other coaches were in the crowd. Such is life for one of the hottest basketball recruits in the nation. (Providence Journal)
