Quentin Thomas, a senior from Oakland, Calif., has all but rescued UNC from a mid-February flop. He whipped nine assists through Clemson's bewildered defense a week ago in a double-overtime escape, yet he was limited to 20 minutes in a one-point win at Virginia on Tuesday but still had three assists and didn't miss on two field goal tries.
