Davis and O'Brien by the numbers
Posted Aug 19, 2010
A comparison of the N.C. State (Tom O'Brien) and UNC (Butch Davis) football coaches as they prepare for their fourth season to begin on Sept. 4. A couple of numbers that stand out: Even if you take away the four I-AA gimmes, Davis is a respectable 10-6 at home with quality wins over Miami (twice), Notre Dame, Georgia Tech and Boston College. Take away O'Brien's four gimmes and he's 8-12 at home.
