Yates, Renner in QB race

Coach Butch Davis of North Carolina is hoping to name a starting quarterback on Saturday after another team scrimmage to begin the final two weeks of practice before the opening game. Senior T.J. Yates, the returning starter, and redshirt freshman Bryn Renner have been sharing practice time almost evenly with the first offense, and are in a dead heat for the job.
