Butch Davis urges Tar Heels to be ready

With NCAA investigations leaving many of the Tar Heels’ standouts unavailable for tonight’s showdown with Louisiana State, many of the Tar Heels’ backups are assured of being front-and-center when the season kicks off at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta. “The overriding message I give to all of our players is ‘Be ready,’” Butch Davis said. “You never know when your opportunity will present itself.”
