North Carolina's decimated defense rose to the occasion on Saturday afternoon, stopping Rutgers on two drives deep into UNC territory in the final minutes to escape New Jersey and notch its first win of 2010 with a 17-13 victory. North Carolina earned its first victory of the season and second consecutive win over the Scarlet Knights (2-1) to move to 1-2 in ’10.
