Michael Farfan found the back of the net in the 21st minute and sophomore goalkeeper Scott Goodwin stopped four shots including a free kick with less than five seconds remaining to preserve a crucial 1-0 win over Wake Forest (5-5-1, 3-1-0 ACC) Friday night. The fourth-ranked North Carolina Tar Heels took control of the ACC with the win as they improved to 8-2-0 on the year and 5-0-0 in conference play.
