UNC lost to N.C. State 29-25. What needs work: The pass protection broke down, with N.C. State's blitzing scheme netting seven sacks, and so did the play-calling, particularly inside the 20-yard line. The play-action pass that netted T.J. Yates' touchdown pass to tight end Christian Wilson in the fourth quarter is the type of play that traditionally works near the end zone.
