Omar Calhoun garnering interest from Big East, ACC powers
Posted Jan 18, 2011
Playing for prestigious Christ the King, junior Omar Calhoun was bound to catch the eye of scouts and recruiters from Big East schools. The amount of interest gained from Big East and ACC schools, altogether, though, make Calhoun's talents even more impressive. The highly-touted, 6-foot-5 guard is reportedly considering Villanova, Pittsburgh, Florida, Arizona and Rutgers. North Carolina and a handful of other ACC schools have also jumped into the mix. Calhoun was his team's player of the game Monday in a win over Westchester Country Day School at the 2011 Hoophall Classic.
