Dustin Ackley sizzles at Stove
Posted Jan 23, 2008
UNC baseball star Dustin Ackley might make a position change this season, moving from first base to left field. What the Tar Heels don't want him to change is the way he swings the bat. As a freshman last year, Ackley hit .402 with 10 homers, 20 doubles, 74 RBIs and a nation-leading 119 hits. That's why Ackley was honored at a banquet Tuesday night as the North Carolina College Player of Year by the Raleigh Hot Stove League.
