Larry Drew and UNC: A marriage that never worked from the start

Larry Drew II never quite fit with North Carolina. The once highly regarded point guard out of California had the unenviable task of having to follow Ty Lawson in Chapel Hill – and then throw in the fact that he just never seemed to mesh with his teammates. Now, just four games after being demoted to the bench and following UNC’s best team effort of the season, Drew has decided to quit the team.
