UNC men are 3-0 in games decided by eight or fewer
Posted Jan 19, 2008
UNC was 3-6 in games decided by eight points or less last season. Memorably, the Tar Heels couldn't close the deal at N.C. State, at Maryland and at Virginia Tech, among others. The Georgetown game in the NCAA Tournament got away from them to the point the Hoyas won by 12 in overtime. This year, the record's 3-0 heading into this afternoon's game between top-ranked UNC and Maryland at the Smith Center (3:30 p.m., ABC).
