The game was about a half-second old when Van Hatchell found himself in the North Carolina bench. Not on the bench, mind you, as is normally the case. The senior was one of three walk-ons given the Senior Night start against Duke by Tar Heels coach Roy Williams, and Hatchell fearlessly dove headfirst into the bench as he chased a wayward opening tip by teammate Justin Knox.
