A look inside the Dean Dome

On Jan. 18, 1986 the Tar Heels defeated Duke in the first basketball game played in the Dean E. Smith Center. Warren Martin made history by scoring the first Tar Heel basket in the new arena. Since that night, players have continued to make history in one of America’s premiere collegiate basketball arenas.
