North Carolina commitment list has grown to 12 with the additions of offensive linemen Jon Heck and John Ferranto. Heck is the son of former Notre Dame All-American offensive lineman Andy Heck. The elder Heck is now an assistant with the NFL's Jacksonville Jaguars. Jon Heck (6-7, 270) played last season for The Bolles School in Jacksonville, Fla. He chose UNC over Virginia. Ferranto (6-5, 270) plays for Burlington Township High in Burlington, N.J. He also had offers from Connecticut, Temple and Tulane. (Fayetteville Observer)
