Josh Newkirk would likely commit to UNC on the spot if offered
Posted Jul 10, 2011
Josh Newkirk, a 6-foot-2 class of 2013 point guard out of Word of God Christian Academy (NC), said it is “probably between UNC and Arizona” for who is coming at him the hardest. North Carolina had a coach in Philadelphia on the first day of the liver period to evaluate Newkirk, who said he grew up a fan of the Tar Heels. Asked if he would commit on the spot if he did get an offer from North Carolina, Newkirk replied, “I’d probably jump on it on the spot.”
