UNC-Miami Postgame Notes

Redshirt freshman tailback Giovani Bernard rushed a season-high 27 times for 110 yards, his fifth consecutive 100-yard rushing game. That is the longest streak by a Tar Heel since Ethan Horton did it in 1984. Bernard’s five 100-yard games equal the second-most in a season by a Tar Heel freshman. Amos Lawrence (six in 1977) and Leon Johnson (five in 1993) are the other UNC freshmen with at least five 100-yard rushing games.
