Tyler Zeller snubbed by Naismith Trophy selectors

North Carolina center Tyler Zeller enters the final week of the regular season as a frontrunner for the ACC’s Player of the Year Award. In the opinion of the Naismith Trophy board of selectors, though, he’s not even the best player on his own team. That’s the only conclusion that can be made after Zeller was left off the list of 30 candidates still in the running for the national college basketball Player of the Year honor
