Injuries, batting slumps slow former Tar Heels

Ex-Tar Heel Chris Iannetta (Los Angeles Angels) recently landed on the injured reserve list. Iannetta, a catcher in his first season with the Angels, is expected to be sidelined until mid-June with a wrist injury. Meanwhile in Seattle, former UNC stars Dustin Ackley and Kyle Seager have slipped into batting slumps at virtually the same time. (Raleigh News & Observer)
