Tar Heels ranked No. 1 in men's pre-season soccer poll

UNC is No. 1 in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America preseason poll, the organization announced Tuesday. The Tar Heels are coming off their second national title in school history after posting a 21-2-3 mark in 2011. UNC returns seven players from last year’s team, including seniors goalkeeper Scott Goodwin and midfielder Jordan Gafa. (Charlotte Observer)
