Brooke Elby’s Overtime Goal Lifts UNC Past Montreal

Sophomore Brooke Elby scored 38 seconds into overtime Sunday afternoon to lift the 19th-ranked UNC women's soccer team to a 1-0 victory over the University of Montreal in an exhibition match at Fetzer Field. Elby's looping shot from just outside the penalty area on the left side ended a string of 382 successive minutes for the Tar Heels without a goal.
