Tar Heels Topple Pirates


While the players struggled to explain another slow start Saturday against East Carolina, they had no doubt why the team has been dominant in the second half — a tough offseason conditioning program that they feel gives them a mental and physical edge. UNC scored the only 17 points after halftime, snapping its two-game losing streak by beating the Pirates 27-6 at Kenan Stadium. (Durham Herald-Sun)
