Kennedy Meeks to announce Friday

Four-star West Charlotte (N.C.) center Kennedy Meeks will announce between UNC and Georgetown during a Friday night ESPNU recruiting special. Meeks (6-9, 275) had been non-committal about whether he would lock in during the early signing period after narrowing his field to those two programs more than two weeks ago. But it was known that when he did pull the trigger, he intended to go through ESPN. So this has obviously been in the works.
