Goalkeeper Scott Goodwin Pushes UNC Into Round Of 16

Senior goalkeeper Scott Goodwin made three saves as No. 9 seed North Carolina downed UMBC, 3-2, in a penalty shootout after the sides battled to a 0-0 draw Sunday at Fetzer Field. Carolina advances to the Third Round for the fifth straight year and will host Fairleigh Dickinson on Sunday, Nov. 25 at a time to be determined. The shootout victory is the sixth straight for the Tar Heels.
