Batten: Tar Heels' time in purgatory ends in triumph
Posted Nov 25, 2012
There will be no bowl game or championship trophy for the 2012 edition of the North Carolina Tar Heels, even though they earned it on the field. The triumph made the Tar Heels 8-4 overall and more than eligible for postseason play.
