This was a very good opening ACC win for Virginia, and a disappointing loss for North Carolina. The Cavaliers deserved to win the game; they played harder and smarter than UNC. I don’t think either team is overpowering, but each has a chance to be good in the ACC, with NCAA possibilities. That’s an acceptable thing to say about the Cavaliers, but Tar Heel fans won’t be satisfied with that. (ACC Sports Journal)
