Tar Heels hope Virginia game directs team toward better times

A game with Virginia a year ago was the final blow to the John Bunting era as North Carolina’s coach. The Tar Heels were crushed on national television in Charlottesville, Va. Before UNC played again, Bunting’s firing had been announced. The teams meet again this afternoon at Kenan Stadium, and there’s a new attitude surrounding the Tar Heels. They sense this could be another turning point as they play their ACC opener.
