Eve Carson's killer to be resentenced in April

Laurence Lovette Jr., one of two men convicted in the death of former UNC student body president , will be resentenced April 26 in Orange County District Court, a judge ruled Friday. The N.C. Court of Appeals ruled earlier this month that he must be resentenced because of a U.S. Supreme Court ruling about automatic life sentences of offenders under age 18 at the time. (WRAL.com)
