49ers hire former Raiders WR Ronald Curry as assistant coach

The 49ers on Monday hired former Raiders wide receiver Ronald Curry to be an offensive assistant. Curry spent seven seasons with the Raiders, including two when current 49ers coach Jim Harbaugh was a Raiders offensive assistant in 2002-03. Curry, 33, spent the past three years as the football coach and athletic director at Morrisville (N.C.) High School.
