Execution on defense is critical for Tar Heels

The Tar Heels struggled last year to adjust to a 4-2-5 scheme and surrendered an average 25.7 points. They allowed at least 33 points six times, including 68 in a home loss to Georgia Tech. Larry Fedora entered the preseason hoping the trend would shift with the return of end Kareem Martin and four starters in the secondary.
