UNC blows huge lead, hangs on for 34-27 victory against Pitt

North Carolina suffered a near-historic collapse on Saturday, but Ryan Switzer, the freshman receiver, rescued the Tar Heels with a 61-yard punt return that gave them a 34-27 victory at Heinz Field. Switzer’s return -- his second of the day for a touchdown -- came with about five minutes to play, after UNC had blown a 24-point lead.
