Louisville calls first loss a good one

Perhaps it was a coincidence that Russ Smith sat closest to the door in Louisville’s locker room. No script writer could pen better symbolism. Third-ranked U of L’s leader posed as a sort of players’ spokesman after his team’s rattling 93-84 loss to UNC. Smith, who scored a career-high 36 points, referred to his team’s first loss of the season as a we-needed-this experience.
