Free throws continue to be an issue for North Carolina


North Carolina’s 82-77 win against Kentucky in the Smith Center left the Tar Heels ecstatic. But there was one worrisome aspect of the Tar Heels performance in Saturday’s victory. Missed free throws again played a role for the Tar Heels, who missed 19. It was the fifth time in nine games that the No. 18 North Carolina (7-2) had hit less than 70 percent of its shots from the stripe. (Fayetteville Observer)
