The Tar Heels have faced two of college baseball's legendary coaches in their first two CWS games. Mississippi State's Ron Polk's 1,350 victories are seventh in NCAA history. Wayne Graham has 1,315 victories in 37 seasons at Rice and San Jacinto North Junior College in Houston. North Carolina freshman first baseman Dustin Ackley seems to have hit the wall. Ackley has hit .161 in NCAA tournament play.
