With his daughter, Jenny, a student at UNC, Yankees' owner George Steinbrenner decided to give the Tar Heels an exhibition game while the team was on its way from Tampa to New York at the conclusion of spring training. A year ago, Steinbrenner pledged $1 million to the renovation project of Boshamer that guarantees the new courtyard will be named after his family. (Wilmington Star News)
