Tar Heels are well-armed in series

The UNC baseball team supposedly lost its pitching when Andrew Miller and Daniel Bard turned pro following last year's run to the national championship series. Nothing could be further from the truth. After senior starter Robert Woodard and junior reliever Rob Wooten combined to shut out Jacksonville 6-0 in the first game of the NCAA baseball tournament, the Tar Heels had thrown shutouts in two of its last three games.
