Late Meltdown Sinks Tar Heels

With less than three minutes remaining, UNC led 76-68 and seemed to be wearing down the talented Cyclones on their way to next week's East Regional semifinal. But the Tar Heels collapsed defensively down the stretch, allowing Iowa State to finish the game on a 17-7 run and DeAndre Kane to convert a game-winning driving layup with 1.6 seconds remaining to push the Cyclones past UNC, 85-83.
