Tatum, Giles, Smith, Adebayo Among Updated 2016 ESPN Top 60
Posted Jun 4, 2014
ESPN recently updated their 2016 basketball recruiting Top-60, and there were several UNC recruits high on the list. Small forward Jayson Tatum (St. Louis, Mo.) was the highest UNC recruit on the list at No. 3, followed closely by power forward Harry Giles (Winston-Salem, NC) at No. 5.
Fayetteville, NC point guard Dennis Smith, Jr. is also in the top-10 at No. 9, while power forward Edrice Adebayo (Pinetown, NC) sits at No. 12. Ultra-athletic guard Seventh Woods from Columbia, SC also made the list and is ranked No. 20.
Each of those players currently hold a scholarship offer from Roy Williams except for Smith, who should be receiving an offer shortly once he has a chance to meet with Williams in person on a soon-to-be-scheduled campus visit. You can view the complete 2016 ESPN Top 60 here.
Other recruits expected to receive UNC interest this summer include No. 1 Thon Maker, a 7-foot center from Martinsville, VA, shooting guard Malik Monk (Bentonville, AR), small forward V.J. King (Akron, OH), and shooting guard Amir Coffey (Minnetonka, MN).
