Dustin Ackley powers Heels
Posted May 11, 2007
Entering this weekend's three-game series against Georgia Tech (30-18), national freshman of the year candidate Dustin Ackley is batting an ACC-leading .444. He tops his fifth-ranked team in doubles (17) and RBIs (55). He had a 28-game hitting streak snapped in April, but he also blasted a ball so hard during a 14-2 victory over UNC-Wilmington that he broke an aluminum bat -- and still managed a grand slam.
