Defense bounces back for strong second half

At halftime of their season opening game against Liberty, the No. 23 Tar Heels were winning 21-15. But, the problems went beyond only leading the FCS-level Flames by six points. The UNC defense had let up 240 total yards, was getting no pressure on Liberty’s quarterback and was allowing the Flames to convert half of their third downs. Then, halftime happened.
