Swinney speaks well of Koenning, but they do have a history

Dabo Swinney has had nothing but good things to say about Vic Koenning in the run-up to Clemson’s game Saturday against North Carolina. Swinney and Koenning worked together on Tommy Bowden’s Clemson staff – Swinney as wide receivers coach and Koenning as defensive coordinator – when Bowden resigned in 2008 and recommended Swinney for the head coaching job.
