UNC loses fourth straight in a shootout

An offensive explosion the likes of which Notre Dame Stadium had never seen ended in a very familiar result – a North Carolina loss. Notre Dame and UNC put up a combined 93 points, the most ever in the historic stadium that was built in 1930. But UNC allowed 50 points for the third time during its four-game losing streak, falling 50-43 to remain winless in 12 games at South Bend. (Durham Herald-Sun)
