Former UNC basketball player Melvin Scott charged with second-degree rape

Former UNC basketball player Melvin Scott is facing charges of second-degree rape. Scott, 32, was arrested on Friday in Durham and is in the county jail under $500,000 bond. According to police, the alleged incident happened Aug. 20 and involved a female acquaintance. Scott was a member of the 2005 national championship team. (ABC 11)
